ASSISTANT MANAGER - SALES

Job Title: Sales Manager – Solar Division

Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and goal-oriented Sales Manager to lead our solar sales division and drive business expansion across key markets. This role involves developing effective sales strategies, identifying new business opportunities, managing major client accounts, and mentoring the sales team to consistently meet and exceed sales targets. The ideal candidate should be fluent in Telugu, Hindi, and English, and have a strong background in solar product sales, field operations, and B2B/B2C client management.

 

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Execution
• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets in rooftop and ground-mounted solar segments
• Identify new markets, customer segments, and business opportunities for growth
• Guide the team in prospecting, qualifying leads, and closing deals
• Monitor sales pipeline, order conversion ratios, and execution timelines to ensure alignment with goals

Team Leadership & Development
• Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing solar sales team across regions
• Set clear targets and KPIs; review individual and team performance regularly
• Conduct on-ground coaching sessions and product training to build technical selling skills
• Create a collaborative and motivated sales culture with a strong customer focus

Client Management & Relationship Building
• Establish and maintain long-term relationships with residential, commercial, and industrial clients
• Support the team in handling pricing discussions, proposal presentations, and contract negotiations
• Ensure smooth coordination between sales, engineering, and installation teams for seamless project delivery
• Resolve customer issues quickly and uphold service quality standards post-sale

Reporting & CRM Oversight
• Ensure all sales activities, leads, and client interactions are accurately recorded in GEN ERP (CRM tool)
• Prepare detailed sales reports, forecasts, and market insights for senior management
• Analyze performance data and implement corrective measures when necessary
• Work closely with the marketing and design teams for lead generation campaigns and proposal preparation

 

Required Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in solar or renewable energy sales (rooftop or utility-scale)
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills
• Excellent communication in Telugu, Hindi, and English
• Good understanding of solar PV systems, components, and regulatory policies

 

Preferred Qualities

• Strong network in commercial, industrial, or residential solar markets
• Experience with solar CRM tools, pricing tools, and proposal software
• Willingness to travel extensively across project sites and client locations
